Talk:Indoor ski slope

The first indoor slope in the world was Mt. Thebarton, Adelaide, Australia and it's still in operation today. SSAWS in Tokyo was certainly one of the first and one of the longest, but it is now closed and the site will be redeveloped.

The UK has a third operation indoor slope at Castleford.

Longest UK indoor slope

The biggest indoor slope in the UK is Snow Factor, Braehead, Glasgow, Scotland [1] featuring a 200m long main slope, with a 50m x 50m dedicated teaching slope.

According to the Snow Factor website, this is incorrect. It is 168m long: http://www.snowfactor.com/welcome/we-are-snowfactor.php

The longest appears to currently be Chil Factore in Manchester at 180m long: http://www2.chillfactore.com/

However, this would be eclipsed by the Leisure Dome in Weston-super-Mare when it is built, which is planned to be 210m http://www.leisuredome.co.uk/Home.aspx/Introduction Rbirkby (talk) 13:17, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
