TCI ignition - Transistor controlled ignition
editTransistor controlled version of Inductive Discharge Ignition appears to have been used by yamaha in motorcycles and golf carts at least. A magnetic pickup is used on some models of Vision Yamaha motorcycles. G2 and G9 golf carts and maybe others also used an "ignitor" that is a version of this ignition, as seen in the manual for them Yamaha calls it a "TCI" ignition, made by Mitsubishi. Some in depth information is here on the motorcycle version and how it works: http://www.jetav8r.com/Vision/IgnitionFAQ.html#a7p0 Stimemech1 (talk) 01:24, 17 April 2017 (UTC)
