Fair use rationale for Image:Irltexas2007.jpg

edit

Image:Irltexas2007.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Firestone Twin 275sFirestone 550 – The name of this event in 2010 was the Firestone 550. it was contested as a single 550-kilometer race. In 2011, it was changed to the Firestone Twin 275s, and contested as a "twin" event, with two 275-kilometer races under the same banner; and the page was moved appropriately. For 2012, the event is reverting back to the previous name and previous single-race format, and it should be moved back to Firestone 550. Doctorindy (talk) 18:06, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: Consensus to move to IndyCar Series at Texas Motor Speedway. No such user (talk) 09:31, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Genesys 600 → ? – Current title is misleading, as this year's event is scheduled to consist of two separate races, named "Genesys 300" and "XPEL 375", respectively. Furthermore, common convention has been to not include sponsors in article title. However, I have no idea where this article should be moved to. I just know that the current title is inappropriate. Also, "the page move tool has been used numerous times to facilitate the frequent changes" is exactly what I'm trying to avoid in the future with this move request. We should be avoiding frequent moves when possible. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 23:02, 26 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support move to IndyCar Series at Texas Motor Speedway, more steady and more precise name for people who aren't really close to the IndyCar or NASCAR sponsors and news. X series at X speedway seems a common practice in wikipedia for other sports. Having all the races of same competition on same track allows us to have a picture of the winners at that track at that competition. Usually people will say "driver x won 3 of last races at Texas" (for that competition), and that will include races in spring (or regular season) and autumn (or play-offs). Besides that, Texas Motor Speedway has the winner of all races. The article should be only about the track. The list of winners should be in their competition page (like this one) or having a list just for that like Silverstone race winners.Rpo.castro (talk) 11:27, 27 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
