Man-made pulmonary surfactant

edit

A discussion of man-made, artificial pulmonary surfactant would be useful in this article. (And at Pulmonary surfactant; I added this note there also.) 24.127.110.79 16:48, 1 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Under famous victim, states that Patrick Kennedy was never attended by a pediatrician. Yet was transferred to Boston Children's Hospital (see linked article. Seems unlikely to be true.Hallbrianh 05:01, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

How high level of insulin affects lung development in infants ?

edit

The high levels of insulin affects the corticol action, as it is required for the surfactant synthesis. Surfactant decreases the surface tension in the alveoli, which is required for proper functioning of the lungs. The connection behind high insulin and corticol action is still unknown.
