The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

The category Bridges in Porto was added to this page over 6 months ago, but this page still does not appear in that category. I was also unable to link the categories page here using the double square brackets format for internal links (which is why I linked it as if it were external). Could this have something to do with it?
I have examined Why might a category list not be up to date? but do not find anything there that would explain this behaviour. This page has been edited many times since the category was added. Could it have something to do with the fact that the category was evidently added via HotCat? To test this theory, I have manually added several related categories.

Comparing the categories I just added manually with the two categories previously added to this page, I noticed that both of the previous categories were preceded by a spurious colon. Removing these colons seems to have fixed the problem. I presume that the incorrect format resulted from inserting the categories via HotCat.
