Noticed that the wikipedia page for Intellipedia made a reference to the Information Sharing Customer Outreach ISCO director, Mr. Richard Russell. I added a link on the Intellipedia page which further makes me feel that this entry should not be labelled for deletion. ISCO actively promotes the use of wiki-media information sharing capabilities. Humbly request that an administrator reconsider any decisions to delete this entry.
--66.44.125.142 22:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)We continue to make substantive changes to this page and ask that the tag for speedy deletion be removed. --Tom 19:09, 16 December 2006 (UTC) I was asked to review this for a colleague. I think the format needs to be improved but it doesn't look like a candidate for speedy deletion. Should probably be under the US Government portal.
AfD
editWith a lot of help from others, this stub has matured quite a bit since it was first nominated for speedy deletion. The subject is notable as it is a very significant directorate within the U.S. government.
Deletion
editHello there. I have made a comment on your afd entry. Most of what I have to say can be read there, though I would like to hear your comments here. I would invite y'all to help fill out the two stub articles that were mentioned in that comment, as you probably have more direct knowledge than I do. If you do add to them, please try to cite your additions, because what you might know from personal experience, others will have to reference from outside sources. I do not think that you will have to worry about the article being deleted due to notability, but the spammy/advertising language must go. Umeboshi 15:52, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Comments
editHi. First off - Thanks! I wholeheartedly welcome your changes, corrections, additions. Just in correcting the formatting I think that you have put the information in a much more concise and readable format. ISCO is working to get more of the official policies, meeting notes, speeches, briefings etc. put into the public record which will greatly improve the ability to cite references from outside sources. Truly appreciate the work you did and will work to make the language neutral. Will also provide more info for the stubs you mentioned - sort of the same problem you mentioned is getting references from outside sources. Working on it though! --Tom 16:47, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Question
editWould like to link the executive order 13328 to the corresponding document in wikisource but don't know if this should be an external link or is there someone to do it internally? Any help would be most appreciated. thanks --Tom 03:29, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- add it to this list List of United States federal executive orders with this name Executive Order 13328. Click on the link you just made on that list, and you can start the article yourself. You don't have to be afraid, one of the mottoes here is be bold. This page would be a good guide Executive Order 13388. You can edit the page to see the source, you don't actually have to edit it, but its real helpful to look at the code when you make your article. If you have any problems, let me know. If you don't want to start the article yourself, let me know and I'll make a quick stub article. Umeboshi 04:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I removed the hatnote
editI removed the following text from the article, but it might be relevant so I'm posting it here:
- NOTE: The DNI Information Sharing and Customer Outreach (ISCO) Directorate, within the Office of the Associate Director of National Intelligence and Chief Information Officer (ADNI CIO), has changed in name and function to Information Technology Policy, Plans, and Requirements (ITPR). The following information is for archival purposes.
Reference Links Update
editI was checking the references and the 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 9th links were broken links. I would have commented them out, but I think they are generated from the text and unput into a template, so it might just be easier to find new links to replace the broken ones rather than to remove them.
