COI disclosure and sourced update requests

Conflict of interest declaration. I am closely connected to the subject, so per WP:COI I am not editing the article directly and am requesting these changes here. Each item below cites a source I have checked myself. I have deliberately left out several things I could not verify; they are listed at the end so nobody has to re-do that work.

The article currently stops at December 2024 and omits her best-documented work entirely.

1. Date the UNCCD appointment, and fix two typos

Current text: "Modja is a Goodwill Amabassador for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD)."

Proposed: "Modja was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in April 2023, alongside Baaba Maal; both had previously served as UNCCD Land Ambassadors."

This corrects the misspelling "Amabassador", and two sentences later "somg" should read "song".

2. Add to Awards: World Economic Forum Young Global Leader

"In April 2022 she was named to the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders Class of 2022, in the Arts, Culture and Sports category."

The live URL blocks automated requests; the archived capture is the reliable one.

3. Add to Awards: Ordre national du Mérite

"In May 2021 she was appointed a Knight (chevalier) of the French National Order of Merit, in the category of foreign nationals resident in France, on the report of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs."

Note for anyone checking: the decree is JORFTEXT000043522971, not the near-identically titled JORFTEXT000043522969, which does not contain her. The French article asserts this decoration with no citation at all; this source fixes that too.

4. New section on The Great Green Wall (2019)

This is the largest gap. Suggested placement after "2011–present":

"In 2019 Modja appeared in the documentary The Great Green Wall, directed by Jared P. Scott, about the Great Green Wall initiative in the Sahel. She is credited as principal cast, as composer with Charlie Mole, and as co-executive producer. The film had its world premiere at the 76th Venice International Film Festival on 31 August 2019, in the Giornate degli Autori section."

A caution on the credit, because sources disagree and several are loose. The British Council database lists "Executive Producer" as eight other people (Sarah Macdonald, Alexander Asen, Fernando Meirelles, Thea Guest, Sian Kevill, Fabrizio Zago, Camilla Nordheim-Larsen, Claude Grunitzky) and puts Modja on a separate "Co-Executive Producer" line. Other sources compress this to "produced" (BBC) or "executive producer" (UCLA IoES), and the IFC podcast has her describing herself only as a collaborator. I would suggest the precise wording above rather than the looser ones. Further COI note: I am myself named on that same co-executive-producer line, which is part of why I am requesting rather than writing this.

5. Discography additions

Two 2026 releases are missing from both this article and the French one:

• Album/EP: 2026 — The Great Green Wall (EP), released 21 June 2026
• Single: 2026 — "I Got You" (feat. Waje), released 27 February 2026

Both appear with those dates in the Apple and Deezer catalogues. I recognise streaming catalogues are weak sourcing; if an editor would rather wait for music-press coverage, that is reasonable.

6. Maintenance

• Reference 3 uses the retired host tv5.org, which now redirects to tv5monde.com. The link is not dead, only stale.
• Nothing else in the reference list is dead. Several refs return HTTP 403 or 402 to automated checks (Libération, RFI, Le Parisien, Le Point, Ultratop, lescharts) but these are bot-blocks and paywalls, not link rot, so please do not tag them as dead. The one I could not resolve either way is africultures.com/personnes/?no=29806, which failed to connect for me.

Deliberately not proposed

So that nobody assumes these were overlooked: film awards (several circulate online, none verifiable to a reliable source), the HEALV3RSE project (only a corporate press release), a 2025 Capitaine Marleau appearance asserted in the French article (unverified), any COP role (no evidence found), speaker-directory listings for GLF and IUCN (no dates given), and any change to the birth date, for which I found no reliable source in either direction. Correction to my own "deliberately not proposed" list. A further search has verified the Capitaine Marleau appearance, so I withdraw it from that list. She appears as Inissa in the episode "L'ami français", broadcast on France 2 on 16 May 2025; Télé 7 Jours ran a first-person interview with her about the role on the day of broadcast. Disclosure of two edits I made to the article itself, before opening this request. On 7 September at 08:41 and 08:46 UTC I changed the infobox website parameter from www.innamodja.love/ to innamodja.net. The change itself is sound, as the .love domain redirects to innamodja.net. My edit summaries, however, referred to "innamodja.com" being defunct. That domain was not the one in the infobox, and I cannot actually verify that it is defunct: it resolves and returns HTTP 403 to scripted and ordinary browser requests alike, so its status is simply unknown. I am noting this here because edit summaries cannot be amended, and I would rather the record was straight. Any editor who would prefer that parameter reverted should feel free.
