Source of the band name
editThe article currently says:
- The name was taken from the popular Nickelodeon kids' show, The Adventures of Pete & Pete.
This statement doesn't make any sense, as there is no "Inspection 12" in "The Adventures of Pete & Pete". I assume someone meant that "Inspection 12" was a phrase used in the TV show, but this really needs clarification. Was it an episode? A character, place, or event? A catchphrase? A succinct explanation would be appreciated. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 05:43, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
- I personally know Robert Reid and I will ask him this week about the name. DavidMann 03:31, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- I asked him a long time ago but I forgot. Robert said there was a band called Inspector 12, and when they stopped performing, they offered them the name. They did but they changed it. I realize my own hearsay is not a good source to put it on the page, but the original statement had no source either, so until one is established, there should be nothing about the source of the name. External links
editI trimmed back the external links section to only include the band's official website and MySpace links. I moved the Limp (band) and Floppy Cow links to where they are mentioned in the article and removed the self-reference to Sensei (band). The other links were linked to in other articles. --Idont Havaname (Talk) 22:54, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Miscellania
editPete and James were both born on June 6, 1980. I'll just leave that here for future reference. The band has also been quoted as supportive of filesharing - http://replay.waybackmachine.org/20030104104418/http://inspection12.com/interview3.htm Kaysow 11:25, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
