editHi - the link for Chris Powell on this page goes to the page for the Charlton Athletic footballer. They are not the same person.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.67.64.197 (talk) 10:03, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
Funding
editYet another "think-tank" with the most important detail missing. Who funds it? Is it another Rockefeller NWO organization. This is the most important detail - where does the money come from. Someone funds it!— Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.178.176.249 (talk) 05:03, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well, the IPPR is certainly not "another Rockefeller NWO organization" -- quite the reverse. According to The Guardian newspaper's obituary of the founder, James Cornford was "the first director (1989-94) of the newly formed Labour-leaning thinktank, the Institute for Public Policy Research...the institute played an important part in the transformation of the Labour party that began under Neil Kinnock and was continued by John Smith and Tony Blair...[he was] a committed Robert Owen-type socialist all his life"
- The present Director continues the Labour Party affinities; he ran the Downing Street Policy Unit under the last Labour government, with whom he also served as an advisor in the Home Office, the Cabinet Office and the former Department for Education and Employment. - Who Funds it? There is no need for conspiracy or 'deep state' theories a simple bit of ::research is all that is needed. To quote from their website:
- "IPPR is an independent registered charity, and our work would not be possible without the support offered to us by a wide range of funders, including charitable trusts, foundations, businesses, unions, voluntary sector organisations, local government, national government departments and individuals. We never accept money from political parties."
- Their accounts are openly available (in their annual reports) on their website, as is a complete list of the donors who fund the organisation.
