Cleaned up

edit

I've cleaned up the article a bit trying to give a nod to all of the previous content. Now this article needs some expansion for protestant and other interpretations. It's pretty much just a basic description of Catholic implementation at the moment. I'll keep this in mind myself. Daydreamer302000 (talk) 10:57, 31 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Oppose merge

edit

Oppose a merger with another article. This article does have some neutral point of view issues WP:NPOV, especially from a Protestant viewpoint, but a merger would only make the discussion more complex. --DThomsen8 (talk) 00:55, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is there any literature on other interfaith marriages within Christianity, such as between Lutherans and Calvanists (Old World, New World, or American) or the sects that originated or were big in the British Isles (e.g., Presbyterianism, Anglicanism, Methodism)? --14.200.68.118 (talk) 14:34, 18 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Interfaith & interdenominational marriage in Mormonism and Jehovah's Witness

edit

This article focuses too much on Roman Catholicism while ignoring other christian faiths such as Mormonism and Jehovah's Witness, both which have strong traditions of discouraging interfaith & interdenominational marriage, though not outright prohibiting it, at least as I understand it. I believe their are other Christian denominations that also discourage interfaith and/or interdenominational marriage though not outright prohibit it, which should also be covered. --2600:1700:56A0:4680:9C59:7A4E:F6A7:9B7C (talk) 21:27, 18 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

"Roman Catholic"

edit

This article is confusing.

What does "Roman Catholic" mean? Does it mean the Latin Church?

Are Eastern Catholics excluded from "Roman Catholic"? Are they included in "Eastern rites"? RVJ (talk) 23:17, 10 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
