- The Denver Times investigative journalism showed that the registered agent of the nonprofit church corporation is connected to for-profit Denver cannabis companies called Bang Enterprises/Bang Digital Media. The church property is owned by the founder's parents, and rented to Elevation. Furthermore, Elevation was paid $250,000 by Bang Enterprises for a "licensing and management contract" with bonuses worth up to $1 million.[1]
