The result of the debate was to speedily move --Lox (t,c) 20:22, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
DN → International DN – According to the DN article, the name of the article should be International DN so that article should be moved to the correct name. Then the dab page can be moved to DN. Vegaswikian 07:01, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
Voting
edit- Add *Support or *Oppose followed by an optional one-sentence explanation, then sign your vote with ~~~~
- Support. Why does this even need a vote? -- RoySmith (talk) 15:53, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Support It probably doesn't, but since it requires admin assistance, better to stay on the safe side and offer the vote! --Lox (t,c) 17:40, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Why does it require an admin? I'm an admin, and I'd be happy to do the move, but as far as I can tell, there's nothing that any non-admin user couldn't do just as easily. -- RoySmith (talk) 18:04, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- While DN → International DN could be moved by any user, the proposed move is a double move, with DN (disambiguation) → DN. I am fairly certain this second move would require an admin. Of course, if you feel there is no need to vote, please do go ahead and move both! --Lox (t,c) 18:45, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- That about sums it up. I was going to do the first move myself but then realized that I could not do everything. I thought it was better to do it all at once. Hence the vote which I believe is requried when you list in 'requested moves'. Vegaswikian 20:10, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. OK, all moved now. It is an honor to have used my broom in such a worthy cause. -- RoySmith (talk) 20:17, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Cheers Sir! --Lox (t,c) 20:22, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

I don't see anything in International Detroit News Ice Yacht Racing Association (other than some external links) which isn't already duplicated in International DN. It seems logical to just merge them (and leave a redirect behind). The articles about the J/24, Sonar, Soling, and Star (i.e. all the classes I checked) all just have external links to the respective class associations right in the article about the boat itself; I don't see any reason the DN should be any different. -- RoySmith (talk) 15:05, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
