Muslims did not introduce kite flying on Sankranti.

The article mentions that muslims introduced it and was later adopted by all but says a citation is needed. I have not read this anywhere. Instead they always talk about origins in Ayurveda and the beneficial affects of sun and vitamin D as the reason.
