Benoit-Otis / Quesney 2020
editI have taken the liberty to entirely delete the following reference, added by WikiPHEM (talk · contribs), from the Mozart Week section:
Benoit-Otis, Marie-Hélène; Quesney, Cécile (July 13, 2020). "1941. Des musiciens français à Vienne pour les fêtes Mozart du Reich allemand". Nouvelle histoire de la musique en France (1870-1950). Edited by the "Musique en France aux XIXe et XXe siècles : discours et idéologies" research team.
While a very interesting read, it is about an entirely different Mozart Week, the Mozart Week of the Germany Reich, which was a propaganda festival organized… by the Nazis in Vienna in 1941 and has nothing to do with the festival created in Salzburg in 1956. (It may in fact be worth an article, because the source in question refers to it as “maybe the most important music festival in Europe in the war years”.) 89.159.110.175 (talk) 20:39, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
