editThere are two possible prononciations given for "e", however there are at least three usuall, normal possibilities: "de", "met", en the open "meten" (the first "e" of course). I think the symbol for "met" is forgotten, but as I don't know anough about IPA, I'll let someone else correct it (or me ;-) ). Fram 16:07, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

editI have changed "never i at the end of a word" to "rarely i at the end of a word", since we have "ski", "alibi", "pipi", "pi", "spaghetti", "mini", "kiwi", ... most of these have probably a foreign origin (like spaghetti), but some of them are not perceived as "foreign" words anymore.
