Article Minor Change

edit

I changed a portion of Portugal's contribution description where it was mentioned that Portugal contribuited with a "Quick Reaction Force". When I clicked its link, it redirected me to the United States Marine Corps Quick Reaction Force, so it made no sense to keep it there since it is talking about the Portuguese Armed Forces. I changed it to "Rapid Reaction Brigade" and now it redirects to "Portuguese Rapid Reaction Brigade". --Prgtl93 (talk) 18:52, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Prtgl93Reply

Where is the "Norwegian boss'" placed in ISAF's chain of command? Lars Christian Aamodt/Lars Aamodt [1] is kontingentsjef for Norway's forces in Afghhanistan. --80.203.35.247 (talk) 10:07, 21 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

jordan was part of ISAF as of 2008

edit

Leaked wikileaks documents tate that jordan continues to be a part of ISAF ...and has requested to not be presented such in the public domain....the document can be found on wikileaks....i guess a change should be made for the same!

Heres a reference! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.178.180.58 (talk) 22:31, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikileaks is by definition hearsay, usually several levels deep - the source said that someone else said that someone else said something. In this particular case, it claims that the Pentagon used to have a document on-line which someone says has been cracked which says that NATO spokespeople have been told to not claim Jordan is participating in ISAF. It makes for fascinating gossip, and may lead you to interesting research, but unless you have a corroborating reference, it isn't meaningful. I reverted your edit the first time because it seemed an irrelevant bad-grammar anonymous drive-by edit to the talk page. Since you insist, a wikileaks reference by itself probably doesn't meet WP:RS. Tarl.Neustaedter (talk) 07:04, 6 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

section: contributing nations

edit

"Germany – The Bundeswehr is currently the third-largest troop contributor to ISAF" - the word used herein CURRENTLY is both a recentism and a weasel word. itd be really awsome if such choice of words could be completely rooted out. my best suggestion is to delete completely the ominous sentence as unencyclopedical. please consider and delete it if you agree. 89.134.199.32 (talk) 23:36, 9 September 2018 (UTC).Reply

Norway contributions need to be seriously uppdated. This whole article is a joke at the moment and poorly uppdated.

Their size

edit

"The intensity of the combat faced by participating countries varied greatly, with the U.S. sustaining the most casualties overall, while the British, Danish, Estonian, and Georgian forces suffered the most deaths for their size."

Does "their size" refer to the size of their population, the size of the force, or both 37.250.34.18 (talk) 05:35, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
