Outdated rankings
editAfter trying to update rankings I found that quite a lot of rankings are either not published anymore, or "unverifiable", here's the list
- African Index on Economic Transformation - can't even verify using the link, can't get a new rating
- Ibrahim Index of African Governance - can't even verify using the link, can't get a new rating
- Ease of doing business index - not released anymore (because of a controversy with ranks by the way), consider removing
- Global Enabling Trade Report - last released in 2016, no new reports, consider removing
- International Property Rights Index - report locked behind a account-wall (have to create an account to verify/update)
- Global Services Location Index - out of rankings in 2021 report (https://www.kearney.com/digital/gsli/2021-full-report)
- Democracy Ranking - last report in 2016, consider removing
- Knowledge Economic Index - can't find new ones by World Bank
- ICT Development Index - not published since 2017, moreover authors says that it's largely outdated "The 2017 edition of the IDI was published in the Measuring the Information Society Report 2017 and the results are still accessible via the IDI visualisation tool. Those results, however, are largely outdated, considering the rapid evolution of the ICT landscape. Users should therefore exert extreme caution when using the results and drawing conclusions about the current state of digital development of a country.". strongly consider removing
- Mercer Quality of Living Survey - not published anymore, link points to city rankings
Also, there is an issue with some notes, "1st in Africa" and so on, it's a bit cumbersome to verify, since many of these reports do not list separate ranks for continents, so in my updates I largely removed them if I couldn't easily check. And realistically, doing stuff like "1st in Africa" is a bit weird anyways, like, who cares?.. Almost feels like some sort of consolation prize. CATFELLA (talk) 06:50, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
