NKR

edit

NKR was split from the table of "UN non-member states" with the reason given "not recognised by anyone else", but NKR is not a UN member just like Abkhazia and South Ossetia; let's not create countless categories scattered along the entire page; there is no reason to further split "non-UN states" into "non-UN states recognized by states other than Transnistria" and "non-UN states not recognized by states other than Transnistria". Recognition of South Ossetia by Nicaragua does not give any more weight to South Ossetia recognition of Transnistria. Here the topic is Transnistria relations, not South Ossetia relations or Nagorno-Karabakh relations. These can be of similar background, but each of them operates independently of the others. A more important issue is if NKR-Transnistria really recognize each other. So far the sources we have are circumstantial - I would like to have some straight statements from NKR or Transnistria MFAs about their mutual recognition or relations. Alinor (talk) 15:27, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Lihaas, please stop removing NKR from the list. If you want to discuss that, please do so here. Outback the koala (talk) 04:07, 19 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

The line "During a visit to Kiev by the Russian President Dmitri Medvedev, Ukraine signalled its support for "special status" of Transnistria and recognised the "important and stabilising" role of the Russian army. On April 15, 2014 however, Ukraine sealed all relations with Transnistria as a result of Crimean Independence." has a date in the future and the source listed is from 4 years ago. 66.46.112.60 (talk) 21:03, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

"located between Moldova and Ukraine"?

edit

It is the Russian occupation narrative, it is *not* located between Moldova and Ukraine, it is a Moldovan region. 46.119.131.104 (talk) 10:54, 9 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
