editJust wondering what "ventricle" is being talked about in the article. Tristanb 08:13, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Surely this is classified wrongly! ICCs are in the Gut, not the brain Camsbridge 11:36, 3 June 2010 BST
Merger proposal
editThere is a separate wikipage on telocytes, which are the exact same cell type. I propose that that page be merged into this one. Skingski (talk) 18:29, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose on the grounds that equivalence is contested. My view is that it is better to keep the pages separate for now, but to link them better, unless there is a very clear review article that states that there is a consensus on their equivalence. Klbrain (talk) 22:41, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose until Telocyte becomes an accepted overarching term. --Tom (LT) (talk) 01:15, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

– There are more than one kind; always referred to in the plural; Latin plural used in infobox. Iztwoz (talk) 15:43, 15 June 2021 (UTC)

- @Iztwoz, Vpab15, and Sam Sailor: queried move request Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:45, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. You could say the same for many of the cells mentioned in list of distinct cell types in the adult human body, but the singular is used per WP:PLURAL. Vpab15 (talk) 15:53, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Iztwoz: Do you wish to have this discussed at a formal RM? Sam Sailor 17:30, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- No thanks at the moment Sam but perhaps in the future some MOS change might acknowledge all the varied long-accepted plural usages, and accept their expansion.--Iztwoz (talk) 21:33, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
