Armoured Gideon?

edit

Is it worth mentioning the cameo (and flippant explanation) in Armoured Gideon? Bill appeared as a ghost in that series (as did a number of other early 2000AD characters), with an explanation that he'd accidentally shot himself...? --Mrph 10:56, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Might be worth mentioning under "Other appearances" in Bill Savage - it doesn't really fit here as it is about the series. (Emperor 12:20, 5 August 2007 (UTC))Reply

There is a Bill Savage entry and a suggestion to merge it here - leave your comments over there. (Emperor 12:20, 5 August 2007 (UTC))Reply

Jesús Blasco

edit

I’ve just read the entry on Spanish artist/writer, Jesús [Blasco]: which says he collaborated on the first episode of Invasion: in issue one of 2000AD.

Can someone find a reference on that, and include it in both pages, please?

Thanks!

Volgans or Russians?

edit

Richard75, I don't see the point of the second sentence you re-added to the following section:

The Volgans were originally intended to be the Soviets, but IPC's management forced a last-minute change to the fictional "Volgan Republic of Asia" for fear of offending the Soviets. Savage portrays the Volgans as Russians who have changed their name.

To say "Savage portrays the Volgans as Russians who have changed their name" is pretty much the same as saying "The Volgans were originally intended to be the Soviets, but IPC's management forced a last-minute change" is it not? What is the distinction? Chaheel Riens (talk) 16:22, 5 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

They went back to saying they were Russians again, as originally intended, reversing management's decision. Richard75 (talk) 17:18, 5 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Righto - but that needs clarifying then in the text, because that's not what it currently implies. Source would be good too. Chaheel Riens (talk) 12:54, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm certain the first Savage story actual says that the Volgans came about after a successful version of the Soviet 1991 coup attempt.143.159.78.102 (talk) 21:38, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
