Is birthdate correct?
editThis page and IMDb give her a September 1971 birthdate, which would mean that her film The Rachel Papers (in which she is seen engaged in nude love scenes), released in the spring of 1989, was shot when she was 17. There is certainly precedent for underage (per US law) actors to appear nude in film (see Blame it On Rio, Blue Lagoon, etc) but it's rare enough to send up a red flag as to whether the quoted September 1971 birthdate might be erroneous. 68.145.238.33 15:46, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

editI have edited the article down to basic facts, as it is wholley unsourced. The lone source listed was to a flat "fact"-type statement on glbt.com, hardly a reliable source for some significant statements. Mdbrownmsw 14:28, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- Also per WP:BLP I have removed an unsourced statement that says she was "alleged" to have entered into a lesbian relationship with a model. If there's no source then its a rumor, and that's how libel suits are born, people. Find a reputable source (i.e. something that isn't a gossip website) and it can go back. In the meantime I have also removed it from the LGBT Wikiproject as there is currently nothing in the article to justify its inclusion. 23skidoo (talk) 19:19, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- glbtq.com is actually a reliable source by all the Wikipedia criteria. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 14:16, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Editing "openly lesbian" out
editI will leave it as "romance with model Jenny Shimizu." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.207.233.94 (talk) 22:37, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- I have no idea whether the rest of the website that is being used as a reference is credible or not, but the actual article being cited in support of the above is full of (I quote) "assumed" and "rumoured" bisexual actresses, without any evidence shown to back up these outings. If an acticle appeared like that on Wikipedia, it would be edited out within minutes as being completely unsubstantiated, so how this can be used as a credible source here I've no idea. I haven't however altered the main article, basically cos I can't be bothered enough to care. The Yeti (talk) 05:48, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Citizenship
editDoes she hold British and American citizenship? Nietzsche 2 (talk) 22:13, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Why is she listed as American? She is born in the UK, and her father is British (Scottish). That makes her British, no matter where she was raised. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.115.32 (talk) 01:03, 6 March 2010 (UTC) .
She was raised in the states has no British accent and has made her career in American films. So yeah I think we can say she is an American.
Parents
editHer father is the singer Donovan, as stated in Kiedis' biography 'Scar Tissue'. This fact definately warrants a mention.
