@Sami Lab: What is your opinion in merging this article with ionic compound article? to me i support merging because ionic crystal is a form of ionic compound i.e it is a subtopic of the subject ionic compound.--مصعب (talk) 16:59, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
- @مصعب: I see that there is no need for such a merging, because the topic of this article is a specific one, which is related to the crystal structure of ionic compounds in terms of the arrangement of ions in the lattice. --Sami Lab (talk) 19:36, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
@DMacks: While your attention is on crystalline ionic solids, what should we do here? This page was unmerged after a few years. Other languages seem to cover solids separately, so maybe it's fair not to merge. This English version is too embarrassing to link to (and until today didn't even link back). I suppose we could expand it, but that would risk lots of duplicate material. Or stubbify right down to a single sentence defining as both ionic compound and crystal. --99of9 (talk) 01:28, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
