Reference source

edit

I remember reading an article in Trains magazine a year or two ago about this railway and the reconstruction efforts. There have got to be more references we can site here too. Slambo (Speak) 11:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Iraqi Republic Railways. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

What to do about Basil Roberts' photos?

edit

This article relies heavily on links to Basil Roberts' photos from his 1967 trip, the only record I've come across online from a railfan in steam-era Iraq. http://gwrarchive.org/site/sitel2pg/Iraq/iraq.php The site was revised, and I was about to repair the links, but now I see that there is no longer an (obvious) way to link to individual photo pages. Suggestions? Triplicate-Squid (talk) 03:56, 20 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I still can't see how to link to the new versions, but the Internet Archive has working photos, so I'll link to those. Triplicate-Squid (talk) 18:38, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't look like I can fix everything that way. Note to self: few more things to possibly incorporate: https://www.flickr.com/photos/124446949@N06/16330838592/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/brblueperiod/5359186799/ I know I've seen a promotional piece on those Iraqi ChME3's somewhere...
