I think the claim that Iron Council draws on the western genre is misleading. There are elements of the genre in the quest for the Iron Council (particularly the character of Drogon) and in the depiction of the new railway, but they are very much subsumed by the fantasy and the Marxist-interpreted steampunk.--Jack Upland (talk) 07:03, 22 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
