• Changed the infobox to infobox royalty like the other Byzantine imperial family articles. Infobox nobility is rarely used. He is the son of an emperor.
• "During the struggle for John's succession in 1143, he supported the unsuccessful candidacy of his nephew, likewise named Isaac, over the younger Manuel I Komnenos." - younger what? It isn't explicit that they were both his nephews.
• "He was the brother of Emperor John II Komnenos and the historian Anna Komnene. Isaac was given the dignity of Caesar by his father." - Please expand. Anything you stated in the introduction must be repeated in the body. So let's mention his parents. It also looks like he was a porphyrogennetos, no? Explain that too not just link.
• "Isaac was also a scholar and patron of learning" - Also??? So Isaac was engaged in warfare and also a scholar and patron of learning. If not, then the also needs to be removed.
• "after an alleged conspiracy" - Is there any detail about this conspiracy?
• "to usurp the imperial throne from him" - Is there any detail this?
• "Isaac is also depicted in the Chora Church in Constantinople, which he extensively rebuilt." --- Depicted in what form? It seems to be a mosaic. Any studies done on this piece of art?
• Any detail on when he died or was the founding of the monastery his last known action?
• Anymore detail about his wife Irene?
• "John Arbantenos" - Who is he?
• "Andronikos I Komnenos, emperor 1183–1185." - His son became emperor! I think this is important to mention in his father's article. Also include this in the introduction as well.

Hi Iazyges and KAVEBEAR, again, as one of the the main authors of this article, I ask that this nomination either a) be withdrawn or b) put on hold for some time (at least two weeks), because the article is incomplete; I have not had the time to incorporate the main biographical source, Varzos, into it yet. Major rewriting has been completed, the things that should be in the article are there (and have also answered many of the points you raised in the review, I just noticed). Thanks for the compliment, but I think that's it. I considered adding some more info on the works and buildings he wrote/commissioned/founded, but this is not the right place. There are some interesting discussions in Linardou and some others on him, but these are topics that are niche scholarly conjecture at best, not really suited for an encyclopedia article; it would overwhelm the casual reader. I am quite happy with the article as it is, otherwise I wouldn't suggest reviewing it.
