Etymology
editThe etymologies given on Isigny's website are highly dubious and look like (not very educated) guesses of whoever designed the page. Latin toponymy doesn't really work that way, and I can't think of many towns named after Isis. The French wiki cites "Isiniacum" (from germanic name 'Iso') as etymology for all the other places named Isigny in the area - would be good to find an English source for this.2A01:4B00:F411:4D00:C861:FC8B:688B:54FD (talk) 14:27, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
