History of journal/locations?
editI found a reference to an article published in 2004 as "ISIS Philadelphia". A cursory web search revealed that there is a current "Isis" in Chicago, but I couldn't find anything speaking to when it moved, whether it operates in two places, or whether there are 2 journals. Help? --Alvestrand 11:15, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- Their Cumulative Bibliography of 1980 is listed as having been published out of the Dept. of History and Sociology of Science, University of Pennsylvania. I don't know its whole publishing history though; the front matter of the first few volumes seems to indicate that they were printed in Europe. There is a small volume about the history of the HSS and Isis that might be of use, called Catching up with the Vision, which is distributed to new subscribers. It's available on JSTOR as well, and I'll try to comb over it for some useful information for this article when I get a chance. The citation info is: Isis, Vol. 90, "Supplement, Catching up with the Vision: Essays on the Occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the History of Science Society" (1999). --Fastfission 17:01, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
