Talk:Islam and astrology

…but it’s astronomy, not astrology

edit

The section “Origins of Astrology in Islam” mentions that “early Muslims relied on the sun and moon to determine things important such as the direction of Mecca, fasting times for Ramadan, and the beginning and end of each month.”

However, these practices are not related to astrology per se, but rather to astronomy.

The section should thus be corrected, but I am not sure how to address this issue… I will fix in a second, though, the mention of “Muslim astronomers focused more on the planets and their energy,” as this is clearly astrology and not astronomy.
