Whoever keeps changing the location of the magazine to Amman, I would request that you stop. I am on the Board of Islamica Magazine and am well aware of where the magazine is based and operates.
I would contend that the 'brains' of this magazine are located in Amman, Jordan. It was spearheaded from there. Having an editorial board throughout the world, and PO Box addresses does not make it based in Los Angeles, California. You are being dishonest. For what purpose, I don't know, if only to make it seem the impetus for the re-launch of Islamica came from Muslims living in the West, which we all know is not the case. Wikipedia is not your personal marketing tool
I would contend that your time is better spent worrying about those projects which you are familiar with, and not with those things you know nothing about. You are simply demonstrating your ignorance.
Interesting that the name was taken off the first post on this page. You have no reason to think I do or don't know about this "project." Quite frankly, I've written nothing that is deception, which is more than I can say for you. Center for Intercivilizational Dialog, indeed. A link about that would be most enlightening.
Islamica Magazine was sold by The Center for Intercivilizational Dialog and funded for a short while by the Royal Aalal Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought and H.R.H. Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad. During this time, due to various existing bad business decisions and practices by certain existing board members it was decided that the magazine was no longer a project that could be funded and the magazine went into a voluntary liquidation. Current subscribers were all refunded by aalalbayt for their unfulfilled subscriptions.
The preceding paragraph is a lie set forth by the internet goons of the Prince to ensure that his reputation in the world is not diminished by his outwardly boorish behavior. The prince forcibly shut down the magazine under false-pretense. This is a fact, which is verifiable, with evidence. If you (the internet goon assigned by the prince to troll the internet and maintain his reputation) try to remove this paragraph, that evidence will find its way into the public domain. There are numerous emails, signed documents, threats, use of intimidation on the part of the Prince and his hired goons to shut the magazine down. In time, all the information will be made public because the best way to prevent this type of behavior is to expose it to sunlight. The magazine DID NOT GO INTO VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION. It was forcibly shut down on false pretense.

editAwful lot of male names there. :-( The magazine is full of GREAT articles, but can't some more G. Willow Wilsons of the world be dug up and asked to write
Prine Ghazi bin Mohammad (Jordanian prince) support the magazine...in other point of view the royal family in jordan support the magazine ...
Still publishing?
editDoes anyone know if this magazine is still publishing? I haven't seen a new issue in ages. Their website doesn't seem to have any new content. I sent an email to the publisher but received no response. 70.217.196.51 (talk) 23:33, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
The website has vanished! I think we can assume that the magazine is no more. 141.211.134.122 (talk) 17:40, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
The domain name is owned by Alis, he took it down when the magazine went into voluntary liquidation.
The magazine did not go into voluntary liquidation. it was forcibly closed by Prince Ghazi and his goon squad. Truth comes out eventually, not sure why his people are trying to supress it on wikipedia.
Let me remind you (the person who is tasked by the Jordanian government to remove this little comment), in America insulting the powerful is a long-standing tradition. if you want to play in the media, grow some thicker skin, or drop the pretense and continue to publish your propaganda and call it propaganda.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.153.130.15 (talk) 07:49, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
