"Incidents of Islamophobia hinder the inclusion of Muslims in France and reflect the poorly managed political and social sphere in relation to the issue of anti-Islamic issues in the country" This is an opinion, especally regarding the fact that there is no information regarding the percentage of these incideent vs the total numbers of incidents.
The statistics: "governement arrested 4.500 people in houses": so what? Did they arrest because they made islamophobic things? Or the opposite? What was the reason of the arrest (does arresting an muslim drog dealer fit in this?) "17, 393 people were joined to the Terrorism Prevention Database." ? So what is the conclusion of this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thastme (talk • contribs) 13:30, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
- For instance:
- Discriminatory laws in France reflect the country’s inability to consider Islamic beliefs and practices as a positive contribution to society as a force enabling diversity. Rather than attempting to allow for the integration of the Islamic faith within French society, France reinforces its fundamentalist following of secularism ... what is this? How are French policies on secularism "fundamentalist" when they apply to all religions? Is Turkish think-tank SETA, closely associated with the Islamist Turkish government, really a neutral observer on secularist policies in France? A Thousand Words (talk) 05:50, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

introduction and nikab
editRemove a sentance of a women about nikab in the introduction: a testimony about an activist can not be seen as representant of the 8 millions of muslim people in France. It's an opinion, not a Fact Thastme (talk) 14:37, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
history
editThere are many misinterpretation of vincent gessier article (and Muslim history). IT is saiid that during Les lumieres Islam was a source of curiosity and an example for many, which changed in the 19 but mostlydueto the emergence of nationalism Thastme (talk) 21:33, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

The report on Islamophobia in France from Turkey
editI've read this report carefully, and it's obviously biaised. For instance, every discussion that might happens about religious sign is presented as Islamophobia. With the recent Eordogan position regrading freedom of speech, I strongly suggest to remove it from the source and to find a most neutral on.

Why flagged as "require update"?
editIt contains many recent statistics, not sure why it require an update 89.88.181.216 (talk) 11:11, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
Incorrect information from referenced source
editFootnote 16 references a 74% outcome from an opinion poll that should be reversed, the article states that: "When asked if there is a conflict between being a devout Muslim and living in a modern society, 74 per cent of all French people answered in the negative. Only about half as many other Europeans or Americans denied such a conflict. Indeed, French people are more positive about modern Islam than are people in Indonesia, Jordan or Egypt (Pew 2006)." [1]

Government-ordered CCIF dissolution
editThe Justice system section could use a mention of the government order forcibly dissolving the CCIF collective legal defense group and the subsequent court review of that order. The Crab Who Played With The Sea (talk) 23:54, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
