It is an energetically feasible possibility, since this would have happened after the beam was turned off. 264Lr would be produced, which would not undergo alpha decay; it would either undergo spontaneous fission, or electron capture to form the short-lived spontaneous-fissioning 264No. But none of this would have been observed. It is also quite possible (see the original paper on the synthesis of 282Nh) that 266Db has an alpha branching that would lead to the well-known 262Lr, and thence perhaps to 262No (quick SF) or the long-lived 258Md; that would have been the first demonstrated connexion from the "hot fusion island" to the nuclear mainland.
