Not NPOV
editThis whole section needs rewriting; it reads like a bad review: "Horovitz greatly admired the Irish playwright Samuel Beckett and for his own work often found in Beckett a thematic and stylistic model and inspiration, though seldom approaching the spare richness of the original. A typical Horovitz play often revolves around a symbolic or situational gimmick, resulting in theater that is more clever than brilliant, and more catchy than enduring." 155.247.166.29 18:55, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Have since revised said section. Smithtp123 17:47, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Restoration of Documented Accusations
editI've restored the documentation that the Boston Phoenix, a reputable local paper, printed accusations from six different people accusing Horovitz of harassment. The simple paragraph also includes Horovitz' response to the allegations. Regardless of the truth of their statements, it was a big deal at the time to Horovitz, to the theater company he helped found, and, of course to the staff and actresses. As such, it's worth noting in the article.
It's entirely possible that, as Horovitz says, people were unhappy with his leadership & took it out on him by making false accusations or taking trivial incidents that actually happened and spinning them as something terrible. It's also possible that those six women had legitimate complaints, but nothing sufficient to win in court, either civil or criminal. That would make it a typical he said/she said situation and we should let the Wikipedia reader decide for themselves. 75.37.16.208 (talk) 00:49, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
Elaine Abber
editI can't find any independent sources that Elaine Abber was married to Israel Horovitz. Seems simple enough to check, but magweb, imdb, omnilexica, etc either don't list their source or they point back to one of the other sites that has no independent sourcing listed. Some sites say the marriage was annulled, others state specifically that it wasn't.
Film Reference has a post from an Elaine Newburg stating "Married Elaine Anner 1958. Daughter born February,1960. Divorced Elaine Abber. Marriage NOT annulled." Again, there's no note about where or what date, making it hard to find even through a public records search. 75.37.16.208 (talk) 00:59, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
