Not very objective
editThe entry makes it sound like the VehiCross was the greatest thing ever, and only a lucky few were able to enjoy it's charms. The reality is a bit different. To most folks, it looked funky, had poor visibility, and while it's off-road manners were very capable, on road it was less impressive. By most standards, it was a failure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.81.105.213 (talk) 12:50, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Similar?
editI see the "Similar" vehicles box changed around a lot on the Isuzu VehiCROSS - let's get real here. I've seen the VX compared from everything from a Geo Tracker to the Porche Cayenne. Let's limit the comparisons to vehicles that were both in production during the VX's production dates of 1997-2001 - remove the Amigo (since it's also in the Isuzu stable one can argue that the VX is also like the Trooper, Axium and Rodeo) - and stay within a similar weight class and engine displacement. Comparing a 3.5L V6 to a V8 is kind of stupid - also, comparing the VX to an SUV built on a car's unibody (such as the Infinity FX) is just plain dumb. The VehiCROSS is a full 4-wheel drive truck (SUV) built on a (heavy) ladder frame - with a net weight close to 4000 lbs (this also disqualifies it as a compact SUV). One can argue that it be compared because of looks or performance, but there really aren't any vehicles that compare closely once you factor in weight class and engine displacement.
- I agree with you that the box is being changed around too much, and the comparisons don't seem to be all there. Isuzu, in their maintenance video, say that it both a cross between a Rodeo and a Trooper, and a "Rodeo and a sports car". Not very helpful, but I can at least see where the comparison to the Cayenne comes from. What would you recommend as a final list? --Mdwyer 06:14, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
