Style of entry

Hi @Island92: thank you for the work you do in this article. However, I don't see an argument to change the format for the display of the Nations League alone. If you look at the entries for other official competitions (and I am sure you know that very well), all of them follow the style

For what unfathomable reason should the entries for the Nations League follow a different style? It is also evident, but that is maybe just me, that repeating Nations League twice in the same small text box produces an unnecessary clutter. Besides, if we use for instance "Semi-final" for all the entries but suddently "SF", there is no consistency argument that can be made. All competitions should follow the same format and any move away from the format should be justified, not the other way around. As far as I know, internal consistency is to be preferred to consistency across the entire encyclopedia.

Secondly, you talked about consistency, but there isn't any in using sometimes "Quarter-final" (singular, e.g. in the 2 July 2016 game against Germany) and some other times "Quarter-finals" (plural, e.g. in the 2 July 2021 game against Belgium). This is even the same competition. Let's choose one (and I would say the one that requires fewer changes in the articles before this decade) and let's stick with it.

Finally, I also don't understand what is the point of linking to redirects rather than the actual correct sections. Please explain. Thanks. Tanonero (msg) 10:46, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
