To Catch a Thief

I just watched an episode of To Catch A Thief and Ivan Dixon played the part of General Castro. This isn't mentioned in his credits on the main page.

Replaced Characters

"Dixon played Kinchloe from 1965 to 1970, making him the only original actor on Hogan's Heroes not to remain for the entire series."

This is sort of true, but slightly misleading. He was the only actOR not to remain for the entire series, but not the only regular character. U.N.C.L.E.

Looks like Ivan Dixon played Soumarin (one of the good guys) with William Marshall (one of the bad guys) in Season 1 Episode 1 of "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," Sep. 22, 1964. Pretty small roles for them both, but nice to see them again. 174.55.1.200 (talk) 18:03, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Role in Hogan's Heroes

Was he really Hogan's "second in command" and a translator of French? I remember him being more like Hogan's assistant [no white Allied soldiers at that time would have taken commands from a black] and why would they need a French translator when they had a real Frenchman?
