July 2006, removing unsourced criticism
editI saw that some unsourced criticism had recently been added to the article, and removed it (diff). Per key policies WP:V and WP:NPOV, it's very important that we avoid disparaging remarks without citing reliable sources, lest we run afoul of the no original research policy. I don't know the school's reputation, but I do see that the material doesn't cite any references. So, per WP:V, please cite your sources. Luna Santin 06:44, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

NOPV
edit"It is unusual for Principals to openly act as hardline partisans, especially in Australia."
The above sentence has been clearly written from a non neutral point of view and is not informative. I have removed it. I have also added the missing citation tag.--StewartM82 15:36, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Citations
editIm not sure how to edit citations, but the source of the 'worlds fastes sack race time' bit is by Guinness book of records on page 32 of the 2005 edition, and they have a huge picture of the race, which could be added if someone wants to scan it.
- I have added in the world record citation. Please use the wikipedia compliant citation mechanism. --StewartM82 03:05, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
WikiProject class rating
editThis article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 10:19, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
First Aid
editI removed First-Aid as one of the skills taught as part of the IGS cadets program. The first-aid course is not taught to cadets alone and is not part of the cadet program. Cadets are free to learn the first-aid skills however, by participating in the appropriate course at their campus. Gavintaig (talk) 10:34, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Unsourced content
editThe section about principals has no sources at all, which is against Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. It has undue weight over the entire article, and appears to have been made by a user with a close connection to the school (see the edit history). Unless this content can be referenced and shortened to a manageable length, I recommend deleting it altogether. Threedotshk (talk) 12:41, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
Alumni
editLists of notable alumni generally require entries to have English Wikipedia articles to establish their notability, and a reliable source (either in the list or the linked article) to show their attendance. Meters (talk) 22:20, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
