1. Family background—parents and siblings?

2. In On Literature (Routledge, 2002), J. Hillis Miller Jr. notes "my father . . . was a clergyman, a Baptist minister." No mention of this background has been found in any other reference, and it has not yet been independently confirmed.

3. Subject of Ph.D. dissertation?

4. Specific classes taught as a professor?

5. Other policy initiatives as associate commissioner of education?
