editThis is my attempt at a brief introduction to Professor J Mordaunt Crook. I have written it as I have been making some additions to the Wikipedia entries on the Victorian architect William Burges and Professor Crook is the foremost authority on Burges' life and work.
I recognise that it is quite inadequate as an article on a leading architectural historian but I feel that it is probably better than nothing. Unfortunately, I know little about Professor Crook's life, and have no expertise regarding his work, with the possible exception of his work directly about Burges.
What is here represents the little that I know and the fruits of some internet searches. I would be delighted if other, more informed, contributors added to it. I am also most grateful for the efforts already made to wikify the article and would appreciate any further assistance. I am rather a Wikipedia editing novice, but am trying to master the basics.
