Proposed deletion comment & template removal notice

edit

The argument for deleting the article is articulate and well-crafted. However, one passage concerns me:

"Rather, they have well-documented and aggressive legislative and political agendas, which are often at odds with the best interests of the clients represented by the Steve Mostyn." - User:ParzivalVon, from the argument as to why this article should be deleted.

This statement reads like someone connected to Steve Mostyn wrote it (@ParzivalVon: if that's true, the connection is required to be disclosed). I've never seen a user use as an explanation for removal of content or a page that certain sources shouldn't be used because they aren't in the best interests of [page subject].

That statement would be like saying that BP's article shouldn't contain any information about the Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill because doing so would be at odds with the best interests of the customers represented by BP. It doesn't matter. This is a neutral encyclopedia that takes in all valid viewpoints and facts about a particular subject, with due weight.

For this reason, I'm deleting the proposed deletion template. The template message says: "You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to deletion for any reason. Although not required, you are encouraged to explain why you object to the deletion, either in your edit summary or on the talk page. If this template is removed, do not replace it."

Regarding the sources I used, I'll let the Wikipedia community decide through consensus whether they are considered reputable. However, the information from those articles are matters of fact. The reason I used them is because that's where Mr. Mostyn has been covered the most. I'd be happy to continue building the article with additional sources where I can find them. --Michael Powerhouse (talk) 18:21, 31 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hey, could someone please clean up the references? For instance Ref#13 is supposed to be 'thetruthaboutstevemostyn .com', however, it goes to a webpage to download 'drupal'? 76.99.239.77 (talk) 15:47, 19 November 2017 (UTC) BrattySoulReply
