Jalbum or jAlbum?
editjAlbum’s own spelling is jAlbum, and this spelling might refer to the spelling of jQuery.
I'll try to move this article to jAlbum or JAlbum. -– Detlef Lindenthal (talk) 13:55, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Now then, I was not successful. Can someone move this article to jAlbum? –– Detlef Lindenthal (talk) 14:00, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
I have replaced in the article all references to "Jalbum" with "jAlbum". I don't think it will be necessary to move the article to a new URL. The article for jQuery also has a URL with a capitalised initial. Jimberryau (talk) 22:43, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
I have also tried to move this article to "JAlbum" but I don't see the "Move" option, although I have made >10 edits. I then tried to request a move on the Uncontroversial_technical_requests page but the request is not visible after submitting. What is missing? Jimberryau (talk) 13:50, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
Why have my changes been reversed? I had corrected some obvious errors including the spelling of jAlbum and the out-of-date Alexa ranking. Why were these not discussed before undoing them? Jimberryau (talk) 12:46, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
Undoing an undo
editSome corrections I had made to incorrect information in this article were "UNDONE" by another editor, on the mistaken assumption that I have a financial stake in jAlbum. I do not have a financial stake in jAlbum and I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits
Among other problems, in five instances, the "UNDO" has reverted the correct spelling of "jAlbum" to the incorrect spelling of "Jalbum".
An out-of-date (from 2014) Alexa ranking was re-instated.
The description of the current license model was removed and reverted to two obsolete license models. (jAlbum is NOT now "shareware"
An incorrect statement "Jalbum can be thought of as similar to Google's Picasa, or Apple's iPhoto" was re-instated You have removed the source reference to "is available in 32 languages."
Mentions of the obsolete "Flash" technology were re-instated.
Obsolete subscription offers were re-instated.
jAlbum is NOT similar to Picasa or iPhoto.
Flash technology is obsolete and is no longer supported by jAlbum
The source reference to "JAlbum on WikiPedia" from 2014 no longer exists.
I have now remade the edits that were previously "UNDONE". Please discuss before re-undoing Jimberryau (talk) 09:32, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
Insufficient secondary source references
editThis article now contains 3 primary sources and 4 secondary sources - I am not sure what is required to eliminate the template message. I will try to investigate further before removing the template (I don't - of course - want to get involved in any "edit wars"). @Kingboyk: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimberryau (talk • contribs) 01:05, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
