POV tag
This concerns POV tag cleanup. Whenever an POV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. From WP tag policy: Drive-by tagging is strongly discouraged. The editor who adds the tag must address the issues on the talk page, pointing to specific issues that are actionable within the content policies, namely Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Simply being of the opinion that a page is not neutral is not sufficient to justify the addition of the tag. Tags should be added as a last resort. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements. This statement is not a judgement of content, it is only a cleanup of frivolously and/or arbitrarily placed tags. No discussion, no tag.Jjdon (talk) 20:04, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Plaudit section largely irrelevant
The "Plaudit" section seems to have little to do with Anderson. He's in one sentence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.172.186.229 (talk) 06:40, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

- What exactly do you mean by "(computer generated)", or for that matter "smear suppression swear succession" or "<vot eto bot" or "Will *** full length rise exemption?"? — Jeff G. ツ 00:17, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
POV Comment
It is well documented that Anderson engaged in libel and smear tactics (e.g. the Thomas Eagleton incident), betrayed his friends (e.g. Joseph McCarthy), and sought to undermine respect for law enforcement in the United States (e.g. J. Edgar Hoover). All of this he did because he believed he had received a call from God to engage in investigative reporting. To recite these facts is not POV, but simply objective comment about a "journalist" who engaged in despicable practices.

- Pretending that J. Edgar Hoover was a respectable law enforcement officer is an insult to law enforcement. 75.76.213.106 (talk) 15:58, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
There are also issues of his frequent violation of the privacy of his targets, bugging their offices and homes, going through their garbage, etc. This piece needs to be rewritten to include some of the problems in his record and present the perspective of who amounts to his victims. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=130192940&ft=1&f=1008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.12.203.116 (talk) 21:46, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
