Clean up tags
Hi, I've added some clean up tags to the article.
- There is quite a bit of information that is not sourced. I'm challenging all the unsourced content and will remove if it doesn't get citations soon.
- The tone in many parts of the article is non-encyclopedic and
containsis story like. Instead of saying " Canfield founded the XYZ organization in 1995" the article says stuff like "afterwritinghis divorce Canfield felt the need to begin the XYZ company which caters to runaway teens and is the third largest runaway teen center in the USA". - The lead should give an overview of the entire article in a disinterested tone. It shouldn't be a collection of cherry picked awards or details about book sales, or explain the goals of some non-notable charity he started etc.
I'm being aggressive here because of WP:BLP and because I see from comments above that this article has a long history of poor quality and promotional tone. Its long overdue for clean up.-- — Keithbob • Talk • 14:01, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Keithbob, thank you so much! I've been trying to clean it up, not really knowing what to focus on. I will do my best, and whatever is not sourced is good to omit. Please continue watching the article as I go along in the next few days. Thank you! Psychology Forever (talk) 22:44, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, looking forward to working together. Cheers!-- — Keithbob • Talk • 01:22, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
Copyright concerns
This section called Other Books appears very similar to this website's Writings section.[1] I think this is a copyright violation. How shall we resolve this?-- — Keithbob • Talk • 15:29, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- I think that regardless it may be too long of a list. Perhaps I will leave the more important ones. Psychology Forever (talk) 22:44, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- I agree, they are all co-writes and he has at least 20 more that he's co-written etc. so we should list the one that are most notable ie have recvd the most press or sold the most copies etc.-- — Keithbob • Talk • 01:23, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
- I've removed them and listed 3-4 most notable ones in the Career section. I've also removed the Awards section which was copied word for word from a website.-- — Keithbob • Talk • 00:14, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
