His death was announced on December 12, 2019, and some sources give that as his date of death. However, this source says: "Scott died of Congestive Heart Failure in a hospital in Warren, Michigan, earlier this week. His death was confirmed by his daughter Jackie Matthews in a Facebook post Thursday (Dec. 12)." And this source states that "a Facebook post from a friend claims that Scott’s wife, Barb, announced his passing two weeks earlier" [than December 12]. In view of the uncertainty over the date, and the likelihood that it was beore the 12th rather than on that date, it would be better if the date of his death be left open until there is some certainty over it. Ghmyrtle (talk) 15:54, 13 December 2019 (UTC). UPDATE: There is a message on Facebook from one Rio Scafone here, stating: "For those asking, my uncle Jack had a massive heart attack on Sunday and while they did everything they could to help him come back, it simply was not to be. Giovanni Domenico Scafone (Jack Scott) passed away this afternoon...." That message is dated December 12, so I will reinstate that date. Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:04, 13 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
