Justification for re-creating
editI see this page has been deleted once before. I am recreating because I think this expression is highly notable:
- Google scholar search with 486 hits.
- Two mainstream dictionary definitions (now references on the page).
- Google news archive search: you have to sort through this, some of the "hits" are in comments, but there are many uses of this term in things that are considered reliable sources.
I anticipate this page will attract vandalism. But let's semi-protect, not delete. Cazort (talk) 21:02, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Move to wiktionary
editI just removed the template to move this page to wiktionary. I would prefer getting multiple perspectives and discussing to reach consensus before we take action. I'm kind of undecided on the matter personally. I think there are good sources on this page, but it might end up being more dictionary-like than encyclopedic. I'm not 100% sure one way or another. Looking at , I see a lot of pages that look at first glance to be similar to this one, and I suspect there are probably a number of other similar pages that may not be in this category. - As it stands currently, the article provides a definition and a brief usage note. That is appropriate for Wiktionary, not Wikipedia. Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Cnilep (talk) 15:42, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- Second. While no doubt a popular phrase, it's usage is not particularly notable. I'm pretty confident that the only way this page is going to end up is as an article on wiktionary.~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 00:08, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
