Speedy deletion declined, but the article needs work
editLooking through the supplied links, there are two stories in a local paper plus this one in the Hamilton Spectator. Since it's now fuzzy whether she meets WP:GNG, I'm going err on the side of caution and say speedy deletion is not appropriate (though "normal" deletion via WP:AFD could be).
That said, I see a couple of issues with the article:
- Reference improving: The only things with ref tags in the article establish the credentials of Honey Jam and not Kenyon's links to it. The referencing needs to be beefed up. All claims about Kenyon need traced back to sources. The Spectator article above is useful for some basic biographic information, it's in-depth enough.
- Fact checking: If it can't be tied back to a source, it needs removed from the article. This would include her alleged work in Nashville.
- Language cleanup: There's lots of comments about the "worlds [sic] greatest producers" and other superlatives. The peacock terms need pared down, and a good scrub of spelling and grammar is in order.
I've got the article on my watchlist and will be keeping an eye on it. —C.Fred (talk) 16:17, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- Went over it real quick, added it to my watchlist. If I have time I'll further work on it. Hope I improved it. I'm not sure if it would qualify under WP:GNG, but I won't put it up for AfD, at least not yet. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 17:19, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ten years late to the party, but: I've gone through the article editing with quite a heavy hand, getting rid of a lot of nonsense and peacock terms etc., and generally trying to sort it out. The references still need further work, esp. as a few of them are dead for all intents and purposes. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:46, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
COI
editPlease explain why this is not COI. Removing a COI tag when it involves you is not the right thing to do. Thanks, NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 23:53, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
