Family?

edit

Jaco had a wife, Tracy(for whom “Portrait of Tracy” was named after) and several kids. I’m not sure how to properly add and source this info, but it should definitely be in the biography section. WesleyPacella (talk) 03:33, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Agree that a biography section is sorely missing. Visited talk page to note surprise at family first mentioned in the Awards section who were not referenced anywhere prior in such an extensive article. Further reading, Notes and References include several biographies which could be cited as sources. 172.59.145.60 (talk) 22:00, 11 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

b.o.d. replicas

edit

I have two tokai "jaco" basses, which first appeared in their catalogue in 1981, while JP was still alive. fender's tribute was long after he died. anyone care to speculate as to why this might have been? also, rob trujillo has had the thing "restored" & it is unrecognisable. :-(

Jaco's name

edit

Not sure this belongs in here, but Jaco was of Finnish descent from his mother's side. In Finland the equivalent to Jack or Jacob (which is related to John) is Jaakko: [[1]], a rather common male name. If there was someone in his ancestry who spoke Finnish the name Jaakko could have originated from there, like grandmother using a Finnish pet name. Didn't find much speculation to this direction from anywhere online except one ancient Finnish chat website message. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.115.101.115 (talk) 11:38, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
