Pronounciation
editThe 's' is his name is not silent. If you watch the Youtube documentary on him, you will hear that most people, including those who knew him personally pronounce the 's'. I remember clearly when I was a kid hearing it pronounced with the 's', including when the police came looking for him around our house in the countryside not long before he was killed. Only the narrator speaking in his fancy radio announcer french doesn't pronounce it. He's what we like to call "wrong". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.68.70.231 (talk) 02:54, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Grammar
editRegardless of the content, this page needs some serious editing to remove the incorrect use of commas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gingerbbm (talk • contribs) 23:50, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Untitled
edit"... he almost killed French journalist Jacques Tillier because he did not like his articles about him. "
Jacques Tillier was working for "Minute" an extreme right wing paper, I'm I wrong ?
- Found no reference, except that Tillier may have been an ex-policeman.
there's nothing about the two movies about him from 2008, L'Instinct de mort (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1259014/) and L'Ennemi public n°1 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411272/). Could someone write about it? thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.197.161.78 (talk) 20:38, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Gerard Lebovici
editThis article currently says, 'and on 5 March 1984 the founder of Champ Libre, Gerard Lebovici, was shot in the head at the wheel of his car parked in an underground garage in Paris' - what is the relevancy of this? It implies that his murder was connected with Mesrine. Could somebody enlighten us? Captain Fearnought (talk) 14:27, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Movie version
editThis article seems to be very similar to the superb Mesrine (2008) movie which I've just seen. Even as biopics go, the similarities are very strong. Could it be that people are using the movie as a source for this article? I think to give the reader move confidence that the article is not based on the movie, there should be many more footnotes. Captain Fearnought (talk) 14:27, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- That's a good point. We need to review this. I've put a few oddments below, but the French version of the article goes a lot further. 178.38.162.243 (talk) 07:33, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
Whether Sylvia Jeanjacquot was charged with a crime?
editSee report in 20 minutes entitled : Sylvia Jeanjacquot : « C'était un homme charmant dans l'intimité », http://www.20minutes.fr/societe/792068-20110922-sylvia-jeanjacquot-c-homme-charmant-intimite
She replies to a question by referring to time in prison:
---"Comment avez-vous pu refaire votre vie avec un tel passé ?"
---"Après ma sortie de prison, j'ai vécu pendant trois ans avec un journaliste."
This strongly suggests she was convicted of some crime. Is there a source that says she wasn't, or explains the above statement some other way?
Another, more recent interview with her, which also refers to a prison sentence: http://www.lesoir.be/429255/article/soirmag/actu-soirmag/2014-02-14/sylvia-jeanjacquot-j-ai-ete-seduite-par-jacques-et-j-ai-suivi-mesrine
And her books (there are 2, I guess, judging from titles, dates, covers):
- L'instinct de vie: Dix-huit mois de cavale avec Mesrine (French Edition) (French) Paperback – 1988
- Ma Vie Avec Mesrine, Sylvia Jeanjacquot - édition Plon 2011

- I fixed it. She was not convicted of a crime but was charged along with other various Mesrine associates. She served two years in prison until being acquitted. —МандичкаYO 😜 08:25, 25 December 2015 (UTC)

First Person to Escape La Santé Prison
editThis claim seems dubious as the main wiki article for La Santé Prison indicates that Léon Daudet had escaped in 1926. Perhaps this should be clarified.
