Let's see, this man escaped from persecution at another country, settled in Argentina and become a professor of anthropological studies and wrote many books. For wich reason is he categorized at "History of Argentina"? For wich criteria is he placed in a category that should be kept for people like San Martín or Belgrano? Even Domingo Cavallo is more important for the history of Argentina than this man. I see no reason why to keep him there Benito Sifaratti (talk) 17:03, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I also have doubts whether his biography is represented fairly here.
The sources used are mostly occupied with unearthing "Nazi ties" of the Peronists. So obviously a former collaborationist comes in handy.
But it would be useful to have at least one source which is concerned with Mahieu himself instead of journalism which just uses him as a piece of evidence to show that Peron was a Nazi. --dab(𒁳)09:59, 20 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Jacques de Mahieu, (birth name Jacques Marie Girault, was born in Marseille France.
Was on a resistance list of people to be executed and one of his brothers` who was in the resistance , warned him. He escaped to Argentina with the help of the Catholic church. He had studied and graduated from the University of Aix en Provence. he became a close friend of Peron .
He went to Spain with Peron during his exile and this is where he did research for his book on Christopher Columbus.
He was my uncle but I never met him or any of my cousins. In the family no one ever talked about him.24.182.21.129 (talk) 00:47, 24 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
