Fair use rationale for Image:Jagged Edge - Jagged Edge (2006).jpg
editImage:Jagged Edge - Jagged Edge (2006).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 23:42, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Merge proposal
editI propose that Brian Casey (artist) be merged into this article as per guidelines. Jezhotwells (talk) 01:30, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- I further propose that Brandon Casey be merged into this article as per guidelines. Jezhotwells (talk) 01:30, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- Agree on both counts. Tim Pierce (talk) 02:14, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- I also agree; in fact; I'll merge them right now. THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 07:06, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
Why? I was trying to find information on Brian Casey's non Jagged Edge work, if there is any, because the MP3 tag of "Don't Mess With My Man" from Amazon.com says that he wrote this song. But then when I went to the Wiki entry of this song it said other people did. Now I don't know who to trust. 99.104.188.76 (talk) 00:15, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved to Jagged Edge (American group). PC78 cites the WP:BANDDAB guideline in support of this title. (non-admin closure) — Newslinger talk 06:39, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
Jagged Edge (group) → Jagged Edge (R&B group) – The English rock band is also a musical group. 67.149.246.163 (talk) 06:29, 16 August 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. — Newslinger talk 09:22, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
- Support but move to Jagged Edge (US band). NB have WP:BOLDly moved the (rock band) to Jagged Edge (UK band) In ictu oculi (talk) 09:48, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- Tentative support but move to Jagged Edge (American group); per WP:BANDDAB "group" is the preferred disambiguation for a vocal group, and we should also be using "American", not "US". PC78 (talk) 10:26, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- Would "(band)" and "(group)" be sufficiently unambiguous without further qualification? The guideline isn't clear. PC78 (talk) 10:31, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- Support alternative resolution of incomplete disambiguation via indication of national origin for each group/band per In ictu oculi and PC78. Since "group" and "band" are frequently used interchangeably [the lead sentence of Jagged Edge (British band), mentions "where there is an American R&B band with the same name"], I would also not oppose Jagged Edge (American group) and Jagged Edge (British band) even though these are not analogous forms. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 17:16, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
