With P T Barnum, he created the Barnuma and Bailey show that toured Europe from !897 to 1902. Thats when The Ringling Brothers started being known in America and soon they were big competitors. Soon after Bailey's death the circus was sold to the Ringling Brothers. The show was called The Ringling Bros. and Barnum& Bailey Combined Show. Even though the Ringling Brothers owned both circuses, they werent combined until 1919. There debut performance was in New York City and needed 100 doulble-railroad cars and 1200 performers. Bailey would have been proud of what the show had accomplished. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.233.246.14 (talk) 15:18, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
